When it comes to getting healthy
and staying healthy, nutrition is only half of the equation. While fiber
supplements like MicrobeFiber can help you attain the daily recommended level
of fiber in your diet, if you are truly a health fanatic, then you know you
also need to exercise. Whether your
activity of choice is walking, running, working out, or playing golf or tennis,
you realize that staying active helps you keep your body fit and trim. Being
active also provides your heart with the kind of stimulation it needs to keep
blood circulating and reduce the incidence of blockage. So, all in all, making exercise a regular part
of your health regimen is one of the hallmarks of staying healthy.
But what happens when
something comes along to derail your carefully planned exercise regimen? Anything from a strain or a sprain, to an illness
or injury can put you in a position where you need to curtail strenuous
physical activity for weeks or even months.
If the injury is more serious, or when age sets in, there are a number
of activities that we just can’t perform anymore. Does that mean you should stop being
active? Hardly. It simply means you need to choose your
activities with care.

The other alternative is to
find a way to use technology to help you make it over the hurdles that are
preventing you from living life to its fullest.
Recently I was introduced to Kevin, one of the founders of
Flaunt Vehicles. Kevin’s company produces hi-tech bicycles
that are power assisted. No mere motor
scooter, what Flaunt eBikes do is offer 6 levels of power assist that enable
riders to augment their pedaling as needed.
This means when it comes to
getting back into the swing of things, or honking up a steep hill, you can
choose your level of effort by allowing the bike’s built-in rechargeable
electric motors to do some or all of the effort. Since the power pack is good for up to 40
miles, this means that you can choose to work your way up to longer and longer
rides as you convalesce. Or, you can
ditch the car whenever you feel like it and bike commute.
Best of all, both the Atticus
and the Vicko models that Flaunt produces are affordable
and user
friendly. Flaunt eBikes are chock full
of standard features such as integrated lights, LCD display, adjustable
suspension, 7-speed Shimano components and lightweight aluminum frames. There’s even a rack on the back to allow you
to carry groceries or mount a bike bag. The
bike’s powertrain is no slouch either, producing 20 mph thrust speeds, as well
as allowing the rider to pedal even at the highest throttle setting. Unlike other electric vehicles that can take
8 hours to charge, Flaunt power packs charge completely in 3 short hours. This is the closest thing to a plug and play
under $1,800 electric vehicle that you are likely to see for some time.

Flaunt eBikes aren’t only
green friendly, they’re hygiene friendly, since the power assist aspect of
these bicycles mean you won’t need a shower after your morning commute to
work. They are also a boon to the
elderly and anyone who has experienced a setback to their physical
wellbeing. If that wasn’t enough to give
these bikes a test drive, they are also rolling works of art that are sure to
turn heads wherever you ride them.
When it comes to getting
around or getting back in the swing of things, having a rechargeable,
zero-emission, power-assisted vehicle at your beck and call could not only be
an efficient way to travel, it could be just what the doctor ordered.
As they say, “If you’ve got
it, flaunt it!”
